Do you know what the US FDA Food Labeling Regulations and Guidelines are for retail food products? In Food Labeling 101, we will learn the following: - Product Packaging vs. Labeling Area - Components of the Labeling Area - Required Information for the components of the Labeling Areas. This course will be a practical course with a handout for you to keep as a reference resource. To get the most out of the session, we highly recommend that you bring a product you would like to label correctly, or a labeled food product from your pantry for demo. This course will not be a packaging course and will not teach you how to package your product. The focus is on having the necessary tools to ensure your product package label is correctly designed and labeled. Course attendants are eligible for 1 FREE product label review (label only) and a marked up/annotated label with comments on what needs to be updated to make their labels compliant with regulations.
